May 22, 2007.Inspired by the comic The Walking Dead. I'm intrigued by notions of the apocalypse, what would happen to the earth and its inhabitants, how once-busy cities and highways would then stand, deserted and still. And most of all I am forever curious about what the driving force behind such devastation would ultimately turn out to be.

A friend was posting someone's images of abandoned cities on Facebook for awhile, along with speculations on how flora and fauna would encroach on everything. I keep thinking about a story I want to write taking place after a large asteroid impact, with cities nearly deserted, with toxic air...
I like this drawing. I need to learn how to draw a city scene while leaving out unnecessary detail. I may not be making sense, need to sleep soon.
